Every dog owner in England will have to microchip their animal from 2016 and as a responsible animal owner why wouldn't you want your treasured friend to be able to be returned to you via a national database if he/she was ever lost or stolen?

 

It is a painless, quick, one-off procedure which is very similar to an annual vaccination.
